How to Disable Add-ins
Some add-ins that either come preinstalled with Office or that have been installed on the computer can cause trouble with the GMetrix test. If you are having problems with templates loading properly, consider disabling add-ins.
- Open the Microsoft application you are having trouble with.
- Go to the Office button.
- Select Options.
- Select Add-ins.
- At the bottom, you will see Manage: COM add-ins. Click Go.
- Uncheck all the add-ins there.
- Click Ok.
After doing this, restart GMetrix. If there was an add-in interfering with the software, it will work properly now. Add-ins generally affect PowerPoint and Outlook most frequently.
